For us at Schmitz-Werke, the most natural thing in the world – in the sense of the creative concept "production cycles inspired by nature" – was the decision to employ at a very early stage an environmentally compatible production process involving high investment. In 1988, the company received the ASU award for environmentally aware company management. As a member of the Förderkreis future e.V., we promote the development of environmentally orientated products and services.

Nature as an inspiration

In nature, it is sunlight that maintains a continuous and highly efficient production cycle without wasting resources or producing waste. Following this example, our fabrics circulate through production processes that have minimal impact on the environment. The impact on the environment through waste water and exhaust gases minimised in the production process results in environmentally-friendly and largely recyclable products as part of product-related environmental protection.

Together with other supportive environmental measures, e.g. noise reduction and residual material recycling as well as the inclusion of employees in this concept, ecological production is achieved, the results of which contribute to a better quality of life in the shape of our brand.
